BlackBerry® Service, which was earlier restricted only to postpay customer, is now available for prepay customers also. Now enjoy the power of BlackBerry® on Tata DOCOMO prepay also.
What all services are available with Prepay BlackBerry®? Can I go for BES or BES+BIS in Prepay?
In prepay BlackBerry® we have BIS LITE & BIS services available. No, the BES and BES+BIS are currently not available with Prepay BlackBerry®.
What is BIS?
BlackBerry® Internet Service/BIS is an integrated and secure wireless service for individuals and small businesses allowing them to access up to ten corporate and/or personal e-mail accounts from a single device. BlackBerry® Internet service combines the e-mail, phone, SMS, browser, organizer, instant messenger plus more, in an all-in-one BlackBerry® handheld.
With BIS, a Prepay Customer gets the following on his BlackBerry® handheld, even while on National Roaming:
- Unlimited push e-mail

As many as 10 personal e-mail accounts (Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, etc.)
- One BlackBerry® email account is given free to the customer.

Unlimited usage on Instant Messenger (IM)
- Google Talk, MSN Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ etc.
- BlackBerry® Messenger.
- Unlimited usage on BlackBerry® App World – Free application download & use

What is MaiLite?
MaiLite is an integrated and secure wireless service for individuals and small businesses allowing them to access up to ten e-mail accounts from a single device. MaiLite service combines the e-mail, phone, SMS, organizer, instant messenger plus more, in an all-in-one BlackBerry® handheld. Internet browsing is not allowed with MaiLite. Tata DOCOMO MaiLite is the customer-facing name of this service.
With MaiLite, a Prepay Customer gets the following on his BlackBerry® handheld, including while on National Roaming.
- Unlimited push e-mail

Is it possible to migrate from my prepay BlackBerry® service to postpay service?
No, currently you cannot.
Am I allowed to subscribe to other tariff / VAS packs at the same time?
Yes, you can subscribe to other tariff / VAS packs at the same time as per the currently applicable rules and process. Subscription to other packs etc. does not affect your BlackBerry® services on Prepay.

*Data usage via streaming and tethering chargeable. For details refer T&C
T&CBB 399 subscribers can enjoy all BlackBerry® services, messenger, emails and internet browsing on BlackBerry® APN free of charge. Streaming (including Tata DOCOMO 3G video services, YouTube and any other video streaming applications) and tethered usage (using BB device as a modem for your desktop or laptop) are services provided via Internet APN. You are provided with an additional pool of 300 MB per month to be used for such services, post which you will be charged at a discounted rate of 1p/20kb for the duration of your plan.
The charges mentioned above include both rental as well as unlimited usage of BlackBerry® service.
Is the special recharge voucher for BlackBerry® available?
There is no special recharge voucher for BlackBerry®, the charges will be deducted from main account balance after the BlackBerry® service pack has been requested for, and later for renewal at the time of validity expiry of the pack. You are only required to maintain the required Balance at the time of validity expiry of BlackBerry® service.

How to De-activate?
- To deactivate BlackBerry® service on your BlackBerry® handset, SMS UNSUB BB (packname) to 121
- E.g. to deactivate Tata DOCOMO MaiLite (Rs.85) pack, type UNSUB BB 85 and send the SMS to 121
- Deactivation facility is not available in the case of daily plans as the service is automatically unsubscribed after expiry of 1 day validity.

How will I get charged for the BlackBerry® services?
The amount will be deducted on the monthly or weekly basis (as applicable) from your main account balance i.e. at the end of the validity period, the balance will be deducted and the service will be automatically renewed. You are required to maintain the required balance only at the time of activation and renewal.
Daily plans are deactivated after expiry of 1 day validity. Auto renewal is not applicable in the case of daily plans. Fresh activation request needs to be sent to subscribe again.
Will I need to maintain some minimum balance during the validity also?
No, BlackBerry® services, once activated, will work for the entire period of validity, even if the balance drops to Zero.
How will I come to know that my BlackBerry® renewal date is approaching?
In case of weekly and monthly plans, you will get SMS reminders before 72 hrs and 24 hrs of renewal date, requesting to maintain the required balance. No reminder will be sent in case of daily plans.
What if I do not have the Required Balance at the time of activation or renewal?
BlackBerry® service pack on your phone will be automatically deactivated. You may recharge your account and give a fresh request for the same.

Which BlackBerry® handset should I buy for getting BlackBerry® services on Prepay?
The BlackBerry® services are available with all existing GSM BlackBerry® handsets and also will be available on all forth coming BlackBerry® handsets also.
How can I get the BlackBerry® Service Activated on my prepay connection?
For activating BlackBerry® services on your prepay connection, you first require to have a BlackBerry® handset with a Tata DOCOMO Prepay connection. For activation process, please visit “Activation” section from the main BlackBerry® Prepay page.
Am I allowed to change my Prepay BlackBerry® packs?
Yes, you can migrate from on BlackBerry® service pack to another as per your requirement by sending the same SMS as for activation of the required service. For migration, please visit “Activation” section from the main BlackBerry® Prepay Page.
How can I get the BlackBerry® Service De-Activated on my prepay connection?
For details on deactivation of BlackBerry® service on your prepay connection, please visit “Activation” section of the main BlackBerry® Prepay Page. Deactivation facility is not available in the case of daily plans as the service is unsubscribed after expiry of 1 day validity.

What is BlackBerry® from Tata DOCOMO?
BlackBerry® is a wireless solution that allows you to access your business and personal emails from a BlackBerry® handheld or a BlackBerry® enabled handheld..
These e-mails are push-based e-mails and access is available to e-mails while roaming nationally and internationally in select locations. These e-mails can be your official e-mails and also your personal e-mails. BlackBerry® also allows you surf the internet, be active on Instant Messengers and socially network on Facebook®, Flickr, and MySpace.
Can we integrate personal as well as business mails together with BlackBerry® Internet Service?
Yes. You can integrate Hotmail®, GmailTM, Yahoo!® as well as your personal POP3/Internet Service Provider (ISP) e-mail accounts with BlackBerry® Internet Service. If your Business mail account is POP3/IMAP enabled or the outlook allows web access, then you can integrate your Business mails as well.

Can I subscribe to just the BlackBerry Data plan without any voice plan?
You will need to subscribe to a voice plan along with the BlackBerry data plan. We do have a combo plan specially suited for BlackBerry users. Please see the 1999 plan under our Tariff plans link.
What are the models of handsets available? What is the price of each of these handsets?
The handset models available are the BlackBerry 8900 Curve (Rs 19,990) and BlackBerry 9000 Bold (Rs 26,990).
What is the Warranty Period for the handset?
The warranty period extends to 12 Months from the date of purchase for the handset.

Customer can call 121 and get this scheme activated. Existing customer can give their request either through the call centre or can walk into any showroom and avail the scheme.
Can an existing customer having a Non Blackberry phone, gets his Del no activated on free trial?

There is no capping on internet service used for browsing on BIS however any streaming application which uses internet VPN will be capped at 300M,post which it will be charged.
