You can submit a photocopy for one of the address & identification proofs: Ration card, Voter Id, PAN card, Passport or any Photo Id with address details issued by Govt. of India.

Prepaid is a service where you make an advance payment for using voice service and other value added services like SMS, CLIP, Call waiting etc.
In Postpaid service you pay for the usage after a monthly bill is generated giving details of the usage for the last month. In Prepaid service you make an advance payment for the usage i.e. to make calls and use data services. There are no deposits to be made for STD/ISD. These features are pre-activated. Also, you need not wait for a bill to be generated to know the usage & then pay accordingly.
Once you have completed the initial procedure for subscription, you will be given a starter pack, this contains:
A non-activated T-SIM based Phone along with a charger. A SIM card. User Guide.
A non-activated Phone. A starter pack with an activation card. User Guide.
You can buy the starter pack from any outlet promoting TATA Indicom products. Please carry along with you a photocopy for one of the address & identification proofs: Ration card, Voter Id, PAN card, Passport or any Photo Id with address details issued by Govt. of India as well as a recent passport size photograph.
It depends on the payment option accepted at the outlet promoting TATA Indicom products.
All fields in the form are to be filled, however, following are the important fields to be filled in the CAF(Customer Appliaction Form):Name & Address Date of BirthProof of identification provided at the time of registration as well as a recent passport size photograph.
As a promotional offer currently the service is offered to you free. To check the balance in the account, please dial 12527 from your mobile phone and you will get your balance details from the IVR
In Prepaid service you will not get any bill giving details of call made & received.
Currently we do not have any handset upgrade option with the Prepaid service. However, in future when we decide to have the handset upgrade option, we shall announce through relevant media channels.
As of now we do not have the option to migrate from Prepaid to Postpaid service OR from Postpaid to Prepaid service. However, in future when we plan to have this option, we shall announce through relevant media channels.
Only at the time of subscription, you select from the range of numbers available at the outlet. There is no separate request you can submit to change the mobile number.
If T-SIM handsets: Please insert the T-SIM card into your phone and the phone will be activated once the distributor confirms that your documents are in order. You can then start using the service.
If Non T-SIM handsets: Please scratch the activation card to reveal the 14 digit PIN number. Dial *228 from the phone and follow the instructions on the IVR. Once that is done and the distributor has checked your documents, you can then start using your service.
The STD/ISD service is already available on your phone and there is no need to for you to pay any deposit to activate the same.
The roaming service is already activated on your phone and you can roam in all the circles where TATA Indicom has coverage. You will be able to make and receive calls as long as you have sufficient balance in your account.

Yes, you are the owner of the handset after making the required payment.
We request you to first contact us or visit any of our public office, to suspend your account temporarily. Later you need to submit a FIR at the Public Office and our executives will help with the required procedure. You need to subscribe for a new connection completely i.e. fill up new application form, you will be given a new handset and a new number.
Our handsets are not insured but there is manufacturer’s warranty available with every handset sold.
There is not much of a difference between them except for the technology on which the network/handsets have been designed.
You can neither use the TATA Indicom SIM card in a GSM handset nor a GSM SIM card in a CDMA handset, since they both support different technology.

You need to purchase a new T-SIM card from our Public Office, please carry along with you an identity proof. You need to purchase a new starter pack, which will include a new SIM card, new number. You can retain the old handset and use the new T-SIM card.
You need to visit our Public Office, and carry along with you an identity proof and the damaged T-SIM card. You will have to fill up a ‘Change of T-SIM’ and a new T-SIM card will be provided. All your details will be retained and your services will be activated with the new T-SIM card.

The SMS value in the SMS pack can be used for SMS to local mobile phones only (local P2P SMS). You will be charged for all other SMS.
Yes, you need to have a minimum balance of Re.1 in the core balance to avail of the free Tata to Tata talk time and the free SMS value. You also need to be in the active state to avail of this facility.
The customer gets incoming calls as long as he is in the validity period. Once the customer moves into the grace period, he will cease to get incoming calls.
For T-SIMs, the customer has to purchase a another T-SIM enabled handset from the market and simply insert the new T-SIM in the new handset. For non T-SIM phones, the customer can buy a new handset(T-SIM/ non T-SIM) and use a handset change card to change his handset.

Yes, the customer will be able to receive incoming calls while roaming as long as he has credit in his account as all roaming incomings calls will be charged as per the applicable tariff plan.
This service is already activated on your internet ready handset. All you have to do is purchase the data cable, follow the instructions in the accompanying CD ROM driver and installation guide and you are done!
The data cable is available separately and is not available with the handset. You can purchase the data cable at any Tata Indicom True Value Shoppe. Kindly ensure that you carry your handset with you in order to select the compatible data cable.
There are no activation or rental charges for this service. You will only have to pay for the usage, which is Rs. 2 Per MB of data transfer.
