‘Suno Dil ki Awaaz’ Event Details

Dil ki Awaaz’ (DKA) is a platform for amateur artists (across genres) to showcase their talent at ‘Tata Indicom –     Dil Ki Awaaz’ Delhi (Autumn ) evenings being organized at The Great India Place, Noida /Metrowalk, Rohini from Oct 2008 to Jan 2009.

Overall Process

Interested artist/bands  may register as per the process mentioned below. An audition would be held where candidates who have been duly registered would be invited to perform in front of eminent judges. The best candidates out of the registered  artists would be selected by the judge(s) to perform over 10 weeks (shows over 20 weekend days) during ‘Tata Indicom- Dil Ki Awaaz’ evenings. On each evening 2-3 selected candidates would open the show followed by performance by a local band. Based on Audience poll, individual performances and judge’s recommendations, the 15 most outstanding artists would be promoted in the music circuit by releasing these compositions in form of ‘Tata Indicom –     Dil Ki Awaaz’ Autum 2008 CD. This would be launched on the final and mega show in front of media. Registration Rules

1. All participating artists/band members should be bona fide residents of Delhi/NCR
2. Entries are open from 18th October – 22nd October 2008 only. Lines may open in November again, to be decided at the sole discretion of Organizer “Thyme Advertising & services Pvt. Ltd “ (dates shall be announced on website www.tatindicom.com/dka.
3. Registration form should be filled properly. Incomplete entries shall be rejected.
4. Interested candidates can register by using any of the three mediums
1. Online Registration at www.tataindicom.com/dka or
2. SMS Registration by sending DKA to 58888 (check with your service provider for charges) or by
3.     Calling at 011-6470-8888/ 011-6470-9999
5. All candidates shall be sent email & SMS confirmation; candidates are requested to use only ONE of the above mentioned mediums to register.
6. Only the first 100 eligible entries would be considered and the decision (to increase/decrease the number of entries) of the management in this respect would be final & binding.
7. Artists from all genres are welcome (English/Hindi/Fusion/Classical/Sufi/Ghazal et al) to apply
8. Artist/Band members competing should have a minimum age of 16 as on  July 30th, 2008
9. Email queries (with DKA as subject) must be emailed at info@thyme-india.com
10. Entry is free of cost and no money should be paid to anyone in this respect

Auditions

11. First Audition would be held on 23rd October at ‘Worlds of Wonder’ amusement park (Next to the Great India Place).
12. Request for re-audition/tele-phonic audition/re-scheduling shall not be entertained in any event.
13. All applicants would be issued a ‘Letter for Audition’ or ‘SMS confirmation’ which would work as entry ticket/pass to venue. A letter with terms & conditions & code of conduct for the Audition shall be issued at Venue and candidates shall have to read, abide and sign the same before going on stage.
14. Each participating artist/band should report at the venue at least 30 minutes before the audition timing
15. All artists must carry ‘Letter for Audition’ or ‘SMS confirmation’, copies of valid ID of all the participating members (Passport, Election ID, DL etc.)
16. Each artist/band gets a slot of 15 minutes – including set up and dismantling.
17. Artist/Bands would be judged on the following parameters
1. Band Co-ordination (for bands only)
2. Proficiency in singing/playing instrument
3. Stage presence
4. Overall performance
18. Artist/Bands exceeding the time limit will get negative markings
19. Minus one tracks are not permitted
20. Any damage to the gear or equipment during performance on stage will have to be borne by the artist/band
21. Abusive language or behavior on stage will lead to disqualification and will be dealt severely  by the organizers.
22. Any participating member found with Alcohol traces or drug usage would be immediately debarred from the event
23. The decision of the judges / jury shall be final and binding and no claim/dispute whatsoever shall be entertained in this regard.
24. A common guitar would be provided at the event (Any special requirement should be intimated in advance by the artists/band which would be considered at the sole discretion of the Organizers)

Performances

25. Each participating artist/band should report at the venue at least 30 minutes before the event timing
26. A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members are allowed per band.
27. Each artist/band gets an opportunity to play only once in the event

Recording of CD

28. Based on Audience poll, individual performance and judge’s recommendation at studio while recording, the 15 most outstanding artists would be asked to make their own compositions (Must be self-compilations). DKA team shall get these compilations recorded at a professional studio in Delhi.
29. The CD would be promoted as ‘Tata Indicom –Dil Ki Awaaz’ Autumn 2008, would be launched/unveiled on the final and mega show in front of media.
30. Specific Guidelines /Terms & Conditions shall be shared at later stage

General

31. The decision of the judges / jury /Organizer shall be final and binding regarding the selection of the candidates and the processes of the event and no claim/dispute whatsoever shall be entertained in this regard.
32. All bonafide participants would be given a participation certificate, the same shall be handed over after the event is over.
33. Thyme Advertising & services Pvt. Ltd shall have the right to use the recordings / photographs of the event for any future usage.
34. Thyme Advertising & services Pvt. Ltd will not be responsible for any mishap / accident during the course of the event.
35. Tata Teleservices Limited does not owe any responsibility towards any dispute or claim arisen in any manner with respect to this event.
36. At least one of the songs played should be an original and others can be cover version.
